Hanging double gates

Reference; Midsummer Gates

Below is a diagram for hanging double gates on the face of posts, gates can be of unequal lengths. We suggest a 20mm spacing between gates for possible adjustment in the future. Also we recommend that each gate has 10mm overlap of the post, the gates will open a full 180° and if using the rising hinge set the end of the gate will lift approximately 70mm per meter length of gate to 90°, so 3.00m gates will at each end and at 90° lift approximately 210mm of the ground. Posts should be at least 135mm square

Hinge sets are shown in this order, 1: ADJUSTABLE HINGE SET HOOK ON PLATES  2: ADJUSTABLE HINGE SET,  BOTTOM HOOK TO DRIVE / TOP HOOK TO BOLT  3: ADJUSTABLE SELF CLOSING/RISING HINGE SET WITH HOOK ON PLATE. We also show a selection of closing latches and extras, all available to order with your gate from our hardware store. If you need any advice please contact us.
